In addition to the Federal and State incentives your project qualifies for, Leake County has a local incentive package for new and expanding industries. We are happy to customize an incentive package tailored just for your project. Some of the local incentives include Property Tax Exemptions and Free Port Warehouse.

MISSISSIPPI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (MDA)

As the State of Mississippi’s Economic Development office, MDA promotes economic growth and long-term job creation by supporting business new industry and existing industries. MDA offers a number of incentives, including loans, grants, and rebates.

USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT

USDA Business Programs provide financial backing and technical assistance to stimulate business creation and growth. These programs help to provide capital, equipment, and job training that can help to start and or grow a business. Loans, loan guarantees, and grants are available to individuals, businesses, cooperatives, farmers, and ranchers.

CENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER ASSOCIATION (CEPA)

Central Electric Power Association offers several incentives and financial programs for new and expanding industries. Incentives include manufacturing credits, energy efficiency programs and rebates, and access to technical experts. Financing Programs include a zero percent REDLG loan and access to revolving loan funds.

MISSISSIPPI POWER

Mississippi Power offers businesses several programs to support the start-up, new location, expansion and retention of businesses by providing business incentives, site information, demographics, energy management consultation and other services. Their representatives act as catalysts to connect business owners with area resources to generate successful growth.

ENTERGY

If you are a commercial or industrial customer, Entergy Mississippi offers programs that will help lower your Entergy bill and make your business more energy-efficient. They have partnered with local trade allies who can help you find new ways to save.

MISSISSIPPI BAND OF CHOCTAW INDIANS

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians offers several unique incentives, including Choctaw Employment Advantage, Financial Incentives, and Workforce Development & Training.
